Tree Maintenance
Tree Pruning
Proper pruning enhances aesthetics, improves tree health and structural integrity, and reduces a tree's vulnerability to damage from wind and storms. Removing dead wood from trees helps to restore beauty and vitality and reduces the likelihood of branch failure or falling debris. In cases where the tree canopy creates excessive shade, pruning is an alternative to a costly removal. Light thinning, when properly executed, can allow sunlight to reach the ground without compromising the health of the tree.
As professional arborists, we follow standards that have been set by a committee of researchers and experienced industry professionals. We do not shape, top, or overthin trees, as these practices are damaging to the structural integrity and overall health of the tree. We know that our customers rely on our knowledge and integrity. This is why we cannot prune trees with consideration for aesthetics alone, as doing so would create a potentially hazardous and costly situation for our customers in the future.
Cabling and Bracing
Cabling is the practice of installing steel cables in the canopy of a tree with significant lean, weak structure, or poor branch attachment in order to strengthen and support weak areas. In some cases, cabling is a viable alternative to limb or tree removal. We may recommend cabling as an option if the overall structure of the tree is good and cabling is a viable solution. Cabling systems are complex and should be installed by a professional who is properly trained and experienced in cabling.
Plant Health Care Program
The Plant Health Care Program is part of a long-term plan to keep the trees and shrubs on your property healthy. The program includes regular maintenance appointments throughout the year. You might need more appointments in the beginning to address ongoing issues or you might be in good shape and just need a check-in once a year.

Tree Removal
As a preservation-focused company, our aim is to save and maintain tree health. If a tree is healthy, structurally sound, and has a low risk of failure, we will recommend pruning or cabling as a first option, with removal as a last resort. In situations where removal is desired by the property owner or necessary because the tree poses a hazard to people or property, we will determine the safest and most efficient way to remove it, with as little disruption to the lawn and landscape as possible.
