About Us

Adams Tree Preservation, LLC is a small, specialty tree preservation company owned and operated by Charley & Corrie Adams.

Charley Adams

Charley is an ISA certified arborist with over 20 years of experience caring for trees. Charley grew up working on boats and rigging systems in Newport, Rhode Island. The skills he developed in rigging later led to preservation work on century-old European beech trees in Newport, as a tree care apprentice and then arborist with some of the island's premier tree companies.

Charley earned his degree from Kent State University, Salem. He spent 12 years as an arborist at Mill Creek MetroParks before launching Adams Tree Preservation, LLC with his wife, Corrie.

Otis Gordon

Otis, a lifelong area resident, has been a key part of Adams Tree Preservation since the start. Otis started with us as the lead groundman overseeing ground operations and the many responsibilities that entails — rigging, logistics, and coordinating communication between the canopy and the ground.

In the fall of 2015 Otis received a scholarship from the International Society of Arboriculture Ohio Chapter to attend Arborist Certification classes at Mill Creek Metroparks and in November he sat for his exam and became a Certified Arborist.

Otis earned his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and after many years in the medical field, he began his career in tree care as a member of the forestry department at Mill Creek MetroParks where he spent several years before joining the Adams Tree Preservation, LLC team. Otis and his wife have one amazing daughter and a very special dog and cat.

Andy Wiley

Andy works closely with Otis to keep ground operations running smoothly, and he also supports the team by raking up debris, chipping brush, and operating the skid steer. Andy recently completed the training and testing to be certified as a Tree Care Apprentice through the Tree Care Industry Association.

Andy is an avid fan of one of the Valley's two rival NFL teams. Andy has one very energetic dog at home.
